Dead Stop/Absolute TDC Indicator




To ensure the utmost in timing precision, the true TDC of all engines should be checked to confirm the accuracy of the pulley (or other factory indicators) TDC mark in relation to the real TDC. This tool screws into the spark plug hole and gives a mechanical indication where the piston is in relation to the pulley.  By stopping the piston exactly the same distance from TDC in both forward and reverse rotation of the crank, degree readings taken, that number is split to provide pure calculated TDC.
